Sometimes the word “community” feels trite.
Then you get there, to the “community,” and you feel connected, and you remember why we’re alive. At the 2016 Good Food Awards judging, Equator Coffee served us up our morning joe.
I’d heard their story before, and the baristas reminded me why this woman-owned business is just sooooo real and so cool — employing several people whose job it is to destroy tiger traps at the coffee origin! Not to mention that they make kick-ass coffee.
