A funny thing happened in between edits of Good Food, Great Business.
An idea for another book hit me. This book would be for kids. If I did it right, it would be the kind of book they’d look back on 20 years later as the one that really changed their view of the world (in a good way).
It would help them see how all their schooling really comes in handy. And, without being preachy, they’d see how much goes into every little thing we make or consume.
Well, after testing the concept in schools (thumbs up!), an intense and successful Kickstarter campaign, and many starts and stops with editors and designers, the Chocolate Chip Cookie School book is on the virtual shelves, thanks to the CreateSpace self-publishing platform.
There’s a profound joy in creating work that teaches our youngsters to “fish” through character and critical thinking skills.
I hope with the involvement of passionate parents, teachers, educators and partners that we can create a new generation of smart cookies.
