It’s not surprise that the tastes, smells, chemistry of thousands of people from around the world mingling and discovering new foods and new connections will not be happening in January, 2021. However the Fall 2021 Fancy Food Show will be in person in New York…with advance registration required.
Yet, I am grateful that we have ye olde Internet and some enterprising organizations that have mastered the art of online versions of the Fancy Food Show and the Good Food Awards and Mercantile.
Here’s a quick list of upcoming food trade shows and workshops in early 2021:
Winter Fancy Food Show (AKA Specialty Food Live) – January 19-22
2021 Good Food Awards and Virtual Mercantile – January 20 (winners announced) – February 7, 2021
2021 Natural Products Expo West is scheduled to be in person! – Wow, if the vaccine spreads like COVID did, there will be an Expo West in Anaheim May 24-27, 2021. Obviously this is tentative.
What’s going to be most interesting is whether people who had to madly cancel their plans in 2020 will be willing to gamble making flight, hotel, and other booking arrangements.
